Model BM Off-Loom Take Up
Izumi's off-loom take up units
are specifically aimed at handling
difficult fabrics such as carbon fibers, glass fibers, aramid
fibers, etc.
The Izumi take up winders are
specially designed to prevent problems encountered when winding difficult
fabrics: creasing or wrinkles on delicate, lightweight fabrics such as glass
fiber, slipping or weft distortion on fabrics such as carbon fiber, etc.
Special tension control system
will prevent internal creasing due to excessive tension. Roll hardness can
be optimized to prevent any deformation of the roll during shipping and
handling. Fabrics with delicate weaving construction will be taken up as
woven, without distortion.
Different drive types and models
available, depending on the type of fabric woven, and type of weaving
machine.

Oscillator roll
Prevents selvage build-up on roll, which causes
creasing in fabric. Traversing mechanism shifts fabric periodically
to selvage build-up. Oscillation amount can be adjusted. |

Feed-back tension control
Tension is measured by load cells, and fed back to
computer. For use with fabrics requiring accurate tension and taper
control, and for reliable fabric quality control.

Horizontal loading safety chuck
Horizontal load feature makes roll doffing easier. Safety chuck
locks upon rotation. |

Expander roller
Roller expands creases. For use with delicate fabrics when spreader
bars can not eliminate creases or wrinkles completely.

Spreader bars
Cost effective method to prevent fabric wrinkles and creasing. Can
be configured on press roller. |

Slides for centering the take up
Slides can be provided
to enable centering of the off-loom if fabric center position
differs according to fabric style (as seen in air jet applications).
